Grief following a suicide is a complex and overwhelming experience. A suicide death leaves many unanswered questions. Every person grieves in their own way. At different times, people may feel: sadness, denial, relief, guilt, fatigue, loss, anger, shame, fear, disconnected from reality.
The stigma surrounding suicide can isolate families. Often, family members can become isolated from each other as they each struggle to grieve in their own way. There are no time limits to grief. Individuals can find a community of support at this grief support group, facilitated by 3Hopeful Hearts. It is free of charge and drop-ins are welcome.
