Grief Support | Alliance for Suicide Prevention of Larimer County

Grief Support

Grief following a suicide is a complex and overwhelming experience. A suicide death leaves many unanswered questions. Every person grieves in their own way. At different times, people may feel: sadness, denial, relief, guilt, fatigue, loss, anger, shame, fear, disconnected from reality.

The stigma surrounding suicide can isolate families. Often, family members can become isolated from each other as they each struggle to grieve in their own way. There are no time limits to grief. Individuals can find a community of support at this grief support group, facilitated by 3Hopeful Hearts. It is free of charge and drop-ins are welcome.

You’re Not Alone provides a safe space for families who have experienced the death of a child by suicide. You’re Not Alone is a free community group and drop-ins are welcome.

This monthly grief support group is for individuals who are grieving the loss of a loved one to suicide. Heartbeat does not replace therapy. The healing achieved within this group is the result of understanding, encouragement and caring. Privacy and confidentiality are respected. This group is offered free of charge.

The Heartbeat Grief Support Group meets the 3rd Wednesday of every month from 6:30-8:30 PM. Each grief support group is free of charge.

This group will be meeting virtually until further notice.

The grief support groups have an additional Facebook support group that connects individuals with support throughout the month. Please RSVP here and the Zoom information will be shared with you.

We Understand, We Accept, We Support…We cannot take away your pain, but we can share it in an atmosphere of love and acceptance.
