Grief following a suicide is a complex and overwhelming experience. A suicide death leaves many unanswered questions. Every person grieves in their own way. At different times, people may feel: sadness, denial, relief, guilt, fatigue, loss, anger, shame, fear, disconnected from reality.
The stigma surrounding suicide can isolate families. Often, family members can become isolated from each other as they each struggle to grieve in their own way. There are no time limits to grief. Individuals can find a community of support at this grief support group, facilitated by 3Hopeful Hearts. It is free of charge and drop-ins are welcome.
The You’re Not Alone Grief Support Group meets the 1st Thursday of every month from 6:30 PM – 8:00 PM . This is a collaborative group with the Alliance for Suicide Prevention and 3Hopeful Hearts.
This group will be meeting virtually until further notice. For Zoom information visit the 3Hopeful Hearts You’re Not Alone Grief Support page.
