Kiersten taught high school English in Colorado, Orlando, and San Diego before relocating (with her Wildlife Biologist husband) to the United Arab Emirates, where they raised their sons for 12 years in a small city outside of Dubai. She loves traveling, reading, and being active outdoors. With boundless curiosity and empathy, she excels as a communicator and understands that the seemingly small things in life are actually the big things. Her superpower lies in attentively listening and deeply caring.
Dawn Kirk is a learning and development professional with 18 years of saving lives in the public safety industry. When she’s not working she serves on local, regional, and national boards and committees with a focus on efforts that improves lives of youth in our community. Dawn loves spending time with her family and their 11 pets including chickens and a leopard gecko. Her super power is honesty, she advocates for those of us who historically haven’t had a seat at tables where decisions are being made about us.
I am an educator, life-long learner, scholar-researcher, leadership coach, team facilitator, artist, river/adventure guide, and multi-passionate, creative, visionary, whole human. My deep caring and curiosity, along with my ability to connect quickly and meaningfully with others, are the superpowers that aid me on my quest to being a force of good in the world. Favorite adventures include: trekking in Nepal, adventure travel and service work in Central and South America, hitching and biking through New Zealand, navigating numerous rivers, family road trips, constructing our dream home and pottery studio, and co-designing a meaningful authentic lifestyle with my life partner and our three amazing children (in progress!)
