Not an emergency service. In case of mental health crisis, call or text Crisis Hotline 988.
Veterans, tragically, die by suicide at a high rate. The Alliance has an outreach program specifically targeted at this group. The intent is to help bring awareness and education to veteran serving organizations, as well as helping at-risk individuals establish connections with others in the community by facilitating veteran-to-veteran mentorship.
The Veterans Outreach program is guided by a Leadership Committee which meets quarterly. They provide input on activities and programs that will be most effective in the community. The Alliance currently offers training for Veteran-serving organizations, helping to prepare them for how to best work with Veterans. This program also identifies service projects that provide a sense of purpose for Veterans that have not established community connections.
ASP is starting lived experience leadership committee meetings for our highest risk populations including veterans. We value your experience, voice and community connections and we need your help.
