Ian - Alliance for Suicide Prevention of Larimer County

Ian

I've been lucky to have known Ian for most of my adult life, we met when we were barely 20, and from that moment on, he became one of my closest friends. Ian had this incredible way of lighting up a room with his humor, charm, and wonderfully eccentric personality. He was goofy, intelligent, and endlessly witty, the kind of person you could talk to for hours and still want more time with. He made people feel truly seen and valued, and his ability to connect with others was something so rare and beautiful.

Ian’s creativity was just as special as he was, both as a painter and a musician. I feel incredibly grateful to have a piece of his artwork that he made just for me when I was 22, and it still hangs on my wall as a reminder of the bright spirit he was. He had his struggles, as we all do, but through it all, he always seemed to find the good in people and in the world.

I wish so deeply that his struggles hadn’t won, but Ian’s light was so strong in life that it continues to shine in the hearts of everyone who loved him now. His presence will always be with me, and I will carry his memory with me until the day we meet again. I will miss you and love you always, Ianbug 💚
