Depression and Bipolar Disorder can cause feelings
of frustration and isolation. Both are highly treatable illnesses. The recovery process usually includes a combination of medication, therapy, peer support and lifestyle changes.
Independent Community Groups
National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) peer support groups. These groups are peer facilitated, free of charge, and drop-ins are welcome. For more information visit NAMI of Larimer County http://namilarimer.org/
The Depression and Bipolar Support group meets twice a month. The group meets the 1st Thursday of the month at Zion Lutheran Church in Loveland from 6:30-8:00. The group then meets on the 3rd Thursday of the month at Harmony Presbyterian Church in Fort Collins from 6:30-8:00. This is an independent peer support group facilitated by Debbie. It is available on a drop-in basis and is free of charge. We also have a valuable list of resources to help you locate groups in the community.
